@HustleBitch_ Run away from these people. Their only religion is control. Do not trust them or associate with them in any way.

🚨 WOMAN LEAVES CHURCH AFTER THEY ASKED FOR HER W2 TO VERIFY TITHING — AND PEOPLE SAY THIS CROSSES A LINE
She says it started like any normal first visit.
They welcomed her, gave her a small gift, made it feel warm and inviting.
Then they told first-time visitors to meet in the back if they wanted to join.
That’s when everything changed.
She claims they asked for her W2 to verify she was giving the full 10%.
Not a suggestion.
Not an honor system.
Verification.
She says growing up, churches talked about tithing, but no one was checking your income or tracking what you gave.
Now she’s hearing stories of pastors following up with people directly…asking why they haven’t been giving.
And at the same time?
Mega church leaders living in multi-million dollar homes, driving luxury cars, flying private.
Her reaction:
“I think you’re good… I don’t think you need my W2.”
People in the comments are saying this isn’t uncommon.
Is this faith, or is this something else entirely?

@Darkdarling00 Look on the bright side. At least he's not being all James Bond about it. If he was, he'd probably give his kid a ppk and teach him to use it.

@systemdesignone Abraham Lincoln as a Man of Ideas by Allen Guelzo.
Yes, I'm a software engineer. I don't always read about software engineering.

@moonchild23580 Generally say something like, "You look good." And if you know them well, "Much better than usual. Try not to screw it up too soon."

This lady is at an HOA meeting and she is complaining that the landscapers in the neighborhood appear to be “hanging around”when they take their lunch breaks.
Landscaping is back breaking work. Many of the landscapers are dropped off by the company owner or foreman. The only place they have to eat or take their break to get out of the sun is under a shaded tree.
Many people even offer their landscapers drinks and food.
The guy in the green shirt is disgusted that she brought it up.
Should HOA’s tell landscapers to go somewhere else during their lunch breaks or should people like this woman worry about themselves.

@kelly_ques Define forever. The universe probably has about 2 trillion years left to go. That's probably too long for me.

@MarshaBlackburn If the administration truly believes that, they're going to have to pick up the pace A LOT.

@SirArminius The only way I could possibly wait would be to go on to working on something else. I don't understand why you want to wait.

I never realized how hard it would be to NOT work on my WIP. I am trying to wait a week after finishing my first draft to start edits and darn I want to open it.
I can't be alone in this right? How do you get through it?

@LndamyDark There are so many to choose from. "Team player" is a good one.

@Old_SchoolEddie What makes you think he didn't? Maybe catching that roadrunner was a matter of pride.

@iky_fwjett Some people will say that this person was stealing the money because hardly any work was being done. But that's wrong. The employer decided what the task was worth before the person who automated it started. This is a fine arrangement.

An older company had a person dedicated to "data entry" which boiled down to copying and pasting portions of data from text files into spreadsheet and formatting into a report.
The person originally doing this job spent a full 40+ hours/week doing it, but was not very computer literate. when they retired, the company hired someone with actual skills. the new hire convinced management to let her work remotely after getting up to speed on the job.
The first week at home was spent automating the entire job. the remainder of their multi-year tenure with the company was spent doing whatever they wanted save the 10-15 minutes weekly to run their program and to answer the odd email here and there. all while getting paid full salary and benefits. they actually had to add in a few errors now and then to make it seem realistic.

@lhallwriter I don't believe absolute silence is possible. On the other hand, if I put on music (as I often do) I make it instrumental music so I won't be tempted to sing along. It's very distracting.

@GAltringham Saw it once at the theater. Then the following week took my cousins to see it at the drive in. To coin a phrase: This is the way.

@HustleBitch_ I went through almost the same thing many many years ago. My father taught me long division out of a textbook that was 100 years old. I can now do long division and my school math grades have been long forgotten.

🚨 DAD TEACHES HIS DAUGHTER MATH — SCHOOL FAILS HER FOR GETTING THE RIGHT ANSWER
A 4th grader was struggling so bad with multiplication she was coming home crying.
The school had her breaking numbers into boxes and doing confusing cross maneuvers she couldn’t grasp.
Her dad stepped in and taught her the way he learned.
It clicked instantly.
Test day came and she only missed TWO questions.
Should’ve been a 92%.
She got a 50%.
Why?
Because she didn’t use the box method.
She got the answers right but they were marked wrong anyway.
Her dad went to the school and pushed back, the principal admitted there’s more than one way to solve it.
Grade got fixed.
But now his wife says he went too far.
If the answer is right, does the method even matter?
