This is the moment a car bomb exploded outside Dunmurry police station last night.
A major forensic operation is underway outside the station today.
In the nearby Twinbrook estate, another policing operation is underway. @BelTel

@DPJHodges One day Keir Starmer won’t be Prime Minister, what will you tweet about then Dan. There’s political commentary, but this is on another level.
English

Remind me. Was it the Opposition or Keir Starmer who opted to sack Olly Robbins.

"The opposition are using tactics to try to distract from the fact the govt is doing good work" Forget Mandelson, focus on us targeting the disabled, scapegoating refugees, siding with the profiteering private utilities, arming a genocide & helping the US impoverish you instead!

@BethRigby @joshglancy There does seem to be a media obsession with picking over everything decision made, every sentence said from our recent Prime Ministers. At some stage we have to give a government a chance to govern for a few years. Though admittedly Labour has made many self inflicted mistakes.
English

Via @joshglancy: Starmer acknowledges the Mandelson appointment was a mistake that needs looking at, but he is also deeply frustrated by Westminster’s obsession with it. He views a political-media class that only wants to talk about vetting forms and not about the Strait of Hormuz as fundamentally unserious. “I understand why there are questions,” he says. “I’ve answered I don’t know how many of them. But at the same time, I’ve got a huge amount of work to do on the war on two fronts.”

Keir Starmer speaks to @joshglancy in this week’s Sunday Times: “I can win the next election” thetimes.com/article/ce07e9…

@DPJHodges Surely this obsession with changing Prime Minister every two years or so with the media Picking over every sentence said, everything decision l, is not healthy for the country. Starmer will probably go after the May elections and then it will be onto the next one.
English

What's staggering in the Times interview is that Starmer is again trying to misrepresent what Robbins said to the Committee. He is still claiming Robbins never said pressure was brought to bear in relation to DV clearance. But Robbins was specifically asked about this by Edward Morello. Here is the full exchange:
Edward Morello: “Is there any suggestion that pressure filtered down to the Department that ultimately was making the recommendations [on DV] to you? Were you satisfied in that meeting that the options that were proposed to you and the decisions that they were proposing were come to independently of the political
pressure, or will they also have felt the political pressure that was on the Department?”.
Robbins: “That is an extremely good question and I am very confident in answering. They are clever people. They will have been very aware of the pressure. I also have complete confidence that their recommendations to me and the discussion we had and the decision we
made were rigorously independent of that pressure”.

Can’t quite believe the ZX Spectrum turns 44 today! 🙏 I’m even less willing to acknowledge I’m more than a decade older than it!
On 23 April 1982, Sir Clive Sinclair unveiled a rubber-keyed, rainbow-striped 8-bit computer at the Churchill Hotel in London. It cost £125. It sold over five million units. It contributed significantly to the launch of the British IT industry.
Around twenty thousand+ games were made for it including of course Jet Set Willy, Atic Atac and my personal fave - The Way of the Exploding Fist 🤜 💥
In the middle of an AI arms race, it’s worth remembering how simple the computing experience used to be.
What was your first ZX Spectrum game?🕹️
