@BatVibes Moles also have the character for rat in their name, but the other half is different. So close!

Do you like the Chinese direct translations for Diglett and Dugtrio?
Diglett (地鼠) - Ground Rat
Dugtrio (三地鼠) - Three Ground Rats
Diglett and Dugtrio's names are completely literal. There is no guessing here what kind of pokemon they are! No mythology or clever puns, just a clear description of exactly what you’re looking at.

@GroudonKing I really like the second set. I don't know if it's the bright colors or what but those cards really pop

Connecting Arts In Scarlet & Violet Base!
Arven & Mabosstiff 🌟
Both cards share a picnic theme and directly tie into Arven’s story in the Scarlet & Violet games where he loves cooking for his Pokémon and has a strong bond with his Mabosstiff.
Spidops & Tarountula 🌟
Tarountula dangles from its silk over the water with a Scyther looming above, ready to cut the thread. With Spidops above ready to make the save!
You can currently pick up all these cards for just little over $30! 🔥

@pokeguide1 Cold soups are a thing though, so I am leaning yes because of solid food in liquid lol
English

@gracedbypete @BroImSlow But I get the argument. Cereal doesn't really include any ingredients as soup besides some soups being a cream base. Maybe the argument should be that cheese cake is a pie instead of a cake?
English

@gracedbypete @BroImSlow Well key lime doesn't include cream cheese or any cheese so I wouldn't call it cheese cake but they are both custards 😅
English

@BatVibes I remember them being colors but I don't think I really made the connection with palette
English

Did you know the towns and cities in Kanto are named after a color?
• Viridian City: Viridian = a shade of green
• Pewter City: Pewter = a dull silver-gray
• Cerulean City: Cerulean = a shade of blue
• Vermilion City: Vermilion = a shade of red-orange
• Lavender Town: Lavender = a shade of purple
• Celadon City: Celadon = a shade of pale green
• Fuchsia City: Fuchsia = a shade of pink
• Saffron City: Saffron = a shade of yellow
• Cinnabar Island: Cinnabar = a shade of red (it's actually a mercury-based mineral pigment)
• Indigo Plateau: Indigo = a deep blue-purple
Pokémon turned the entire Kanto journey into a painting with you starting with a blank palette (Pallet Town) and ending on a deep hue.

@JohnnyCrambo My cat refused all cat beds until I tried one that was shaped like a banana. 😂
English

@Bellsprout_Boss All I could find was victreebel. The quality doesn't look as good on this one 😅

English

@Bellsprout_Boss @totodile_king That one is probably my second choice out of the bunch. It's a great card too!
English

@pokeguide1 @totodile_king I really like the Worms 😂
Can’t beat the Dune vibes
English

@BroImSlow Now the question is if the quality is good for the price 😅
English

@pokeguide1 Cool concept but I don't think I'm a clefairy kind of guy. Maybe my kids would like it
English

@CharmanderChief I guess 1&3. But I would prefer to choose 1&2 😂 I don't have a lot of connection with later gens
English

@totodile_king @Bellsprout_Boss I think it's probably the best out of the four!

Do you like the Chinese direct translations for Clefairy and Clefable?
Clefairy (皮皮) - Pi Pi
Clefable (皮可西) - Pi Ke Xi
Both names are super cute and mostly phonetic.
Clefairy’s “Pi Pi” is a sweet repeating sound that feels very adorable and bouncy.
Clefable keeps the “Pi” from Clefairy and adds “Ke Xi” to approximate the Japanese “Pixy” sound.
This line is all about cute sound-play. The repeating “Pi” gives them a playful, magical fairy vibe without needing literal descriptions. Perfect for these moon-loving pixie Pokémon!
