Hey @FNFestival absolutely loving Mic Vocals but could you add some activation windows to "Come & Go" please? Right now we're stuck hoarding seven overdrive phrases that are impossible to deploy. If you have the emote breaks end one measure sooner the game should generate some.

I'm just thinking @EpicTofuChris that since Rocket Racing will no longer be supported, will it ever be possible to aquire the jam tracks so many people missed out on? Maybe you could re-release the quests or something before it's gone? Or put them in the item shop?

@guigoakirah It requires coop mode which is console only. Thats seriously it 😅 You use 2 separate accounts just like Rock Band 4 to accomplish this. Hopefully PC soon. Spent a large amount of time getting my XBX situated

@synaesthesiajp I'm certain that this insight will be appreciated by so many more people than just the one that can't see why this is understandable. I feel it's no different than why Stage Tour won't have open notes on their lead charts. Today's update has been monumental for all things to come

This was the rudest of the replies to me saying Double Kick is a low ROI feature. But since there were plenty of people who seemingly think they know how these things work, let me put y'all on some game real quick. There are two simple issues at play. 1) ROI - Double kick sounds simple, doesn't it? NOPE. First, you'd have to reauthor the songs with double kick pedals. That isn't free, and that team is a fixed size, so that work would mean less new songs in the game for a feature only a small sliver of folks would use. So you are already negatively impacting revenue, but let's say we don't care and do it anyways. Well, now you need to go and add code to detect the pedals, and settings code to remap the pedals, and you gotta figure out whether it is now a new set of leaderboards, or the old set of leaderboards. You gotta figure out what to do if someone wants to play that on a single pedal, but use the double pedal chart, etc. etc. So yeah, your simple feature that is in other games is not so simple to build. Between UI and engineering, it is a non-trivial amount of time. 2) Opportunity cost - Even when a feature is "cheap" it isn't free. And sometimes the cost isn't what it cost to make, it is what it means you couldn't make. This is opportunity cost. Now, you know all those CRKD and PDP controllers that are on the market? You can thank the audience Festival built for that. Those new games? Thank Festival twice, because not only has it created a new set of players, those games don't have to worry about making instruments and carrying the inventory risk that killed rhythm games the first time. Festival expanded the audience. That's why it is important. Having the team work on niche features to stamp out Messugah songs for a subset of players probably small enough to fit into a tiny bar, when the actual opportunity is to continue to expand the audience... Great idea if you want the rest of the Festival team to get laid off. The business case around drums was tough enough. The "five fret community" or the rhythm game community, is not just listeners of the Lore Hero podcast. It is large, diverse, and needs to keep expanding to keep rhythm games around. So when people like Acai say "WE NEED", it is important for the teams making games to really think about who "WE" actually are and whether there are more pressing "NEED(s)". Pushing for niche features is fine - it's just a player expressing a desire that they genuinely hold. But for those making the game, the responsibility is keep the ecosystem healthy, not just one very small corner of it. That way, games that do focus on that corner can actually thrive, because the rising tide lifts all boats. Just look online - WAY more posts about Vocals than Pro Drums because it reaches a way broader set of players. So yeah, you can get mad at me for saying that what Acai wants is Low ROI and there are better things for the team to build, but I'm not wrong. (Also, @gozfrt may have an incurable armpit rash, which is why they are so irritable... ALLEGEDLY. :) )
