@DesireeAmerica4 First - yes fast food trash bags get heavy. A lot of containers I service have bags in front of them. The reason is because the workers can’t lift them into the container. So it’s the responsibility of the solid waste worker to toss them in.

A Chick-fil-A employee using a mechanical lift to throw away a single trash bag just sparked a massive culture war. ​Blue-collar workers filmed it from above, laughing and saying modern men have gotten completely soft. Half the internet agrees, bragging about slinging 50lb boxes into trailers by hand all day. ​The other half says Chick-fil-A is brilliant. Fast-food trash is incredibly heavy, and this machine saves employees' backs while preventing massive workers' comp lawsuits. ​Are we becoming a weak society, or is this just smart corporate safety?

Oregon has been a national leader in making sure people have access to health care. We have built strong systems to detect abuse early, investigate thoroughly, and hold bad actors accountable. That won’t change.

Every WA voter attests they are a U.S. citizen. The penalty for lying is ≤5 yrs in prison &/or a $10k fine. And somehow people think that immigrants who won’t even go to the grocery store, who are afraid take their kids to school, are signing up for a felony by voting illegally?

@NWordBiden Union division I work at is fully staffed. Non- union division 15 miles away is always short staffed. Same trucks same rules same work environment. It’s always the pay and benefits.

Machinist buddy of mine, young guy with 5 years experience was telling me he hopes to get a promotion up to 55k next year. I have 18 year olds hanging gutters for me pulling in 52k. We expect skilled labor to work for 1998 wages.

@pole3177 I'm not positive, but I think the 500 and 590 are interchangeable, at least for this purpose.

I was this many years old when I learned I could mount a bayonet on my Mossberg 500 for under $60, including dual Picatinnies for my flashlight and laser. I considered paying $200 for a high-quality Ontario bayonet, but based on my anticipated usage, that works out to an extra $50 per stabbing, and I can't justify that expense.
