Defuddle now has a website!
This means you can use Defuddle anywhere to get the main content of a page in Markdown format.
You can simply add "defuddle.md" before any URL, use it via curl, Skills, CLI, or add it to your app via NPM.

new project — defuddle > de·fud·dle /diˈfʌdl/ transitive verb > to remove unnecessary elements from a web page, and make it easily readable. Inspired by my work on Obsidian Web Clipper I created Defuddle, an open source library to replace Mozilla's Readability in my projects. Defuddle extracts the main content from web pages. It's a bit more forgiving and tunable to my preferences. Notably, Defuddle uses a website's mobile styles to find unnecessary elements that can be removed from the page. still a work in progress but you can try it out in Obsidian Web Clipper 0.10.9, or install it via NPM

LLMs prefer the CLI to the MCP
Traditionally CLIs hit APIs, but APIs don't have all the latest features that you would put in your UI or MCP
UIs and MCPs can be constantly changed, because there is a resilient, intelligent agent interfacing with them to deal with the changes (vs deterministic code that would barf on an API change)
So we need to "generate a CLI" from MCP specifications
This is basically how Cloudflare's "code mode" worked, but where they generated TypeScript functions, generating a CLI is even more composable with the unix tools the LLM knows well

i lately built two fully functional tools using @boltdotnew and @cursor_ai that have been sitting on my ideas page for a long time in obsidian!
and that made me realize that releasing and shipping the thing is the hard part and not building them 😂

Today I discovered that you can start a new @ValDotTown Townie chat by doing to townie.new is a thing thanks to @charmaine_klee.
