I will say it. Queer characters should be allowed to be flawed, to be messy, to majorly screw up. Like any other character in fiction that happens to be straight or CIS. And it's not faulty writing: it's about depicting people with nuance, whether they're LGBTQ+ or not. #LGBT

You can tell TADC wasn't supposed to blow up like it did because it's a deeply personal story about Gooseworx's crippling self hatred and how she learned to grow past it, but I have nothing but respect for her sticking to her guns and keeping the meat of her message intact
