@Msamalam @VandenbergheAn6 @grok You are using city boundaries, so NYC is barely bigger than Paris. Do the same with American cities and you will see the same results that are confusing your math, or you are just trolling.

I actually don’t understand how France has 69 million people. Where are they? 5 largest cities: Paris 2 million Marseille 0.8MM Lyon 0.5MM Toulouse 0.5Mm Nice 0.3MM Where are they all hiding? In the countryside? The “big” cities are so tiny.

The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain. Our response then must be our response now: NO to violations of international law. NO to the illusion that we can solve the world’s problems with bombs. NO to repeating the mistakes of the past. NO TO WAR. lamoncloa.gob.es/presidente/int…

@Simon351711 @dave24144975 It's a logical consequence of the British colonial past. You see the same occuring in other European countries (eg North Africans in France; Latin Americans in Spain). Regarding the latter e.g. their mother tongue is usually also Spanish, facilitating their integration in School.

@Rothmus This % should be taken with a grain of salt: 1) census showed Europeans share as 67.5% not 55.9%. 2) People can declare more than one ethnicity. 3) Diversity does not mean end of civilization. Is it really that bad learning the language & culture of those who arrived there first?

Diversity and multiculturalism were always code for whites becoming minorities in every single country, city, and small village. A West ruled by foreigners who despise it in collusion with domestic enemies who equally abhor it, its institutions occupied, its morality inverted, intellectually subdued, occupied by ballots, invaded without an army, shamed into submission, and mustered no resistance. We are witnessing the historical suicide of a civilization. The West will change. But change isn’t always for the better. The third worldist shitholization of the West is here.

@henryll_iwnl @digi_caps @elonmusk Yes there is. Do some research. Here is an example from the US, but will be similar in all high-income countries, and even middle-income ones: In 2018-22 even the very rich only had 2.0 kids, i.e only about 0.2 more than lower income groups, even the lowest income group

@digi_caps @elonmusk Low birth rate there is NO correlation about money! Muslim and Indians certainly have less money than your people and they're having more kids... Don't blame money, when it's clearly not the case...

@simongerman600 @xruiztru You have to look at the birth rates. In the Netherlands for example, the births by muslim parents are 20-25% at this moment. That means even if the immigration stops now, at least 20/25% of the Dutch population is going to be muslim, likely more. That's enough, don't you think?

@KapitanKri5 @MichaelAArouet Cuba’s life expectancy is high b/c it has spent decades organizing society around universal, prevention-oriented primary health care, although the country is poor. Health care is free at the point of use, with strong public-health campaigns (vaccination, maternal/child health ...

@popageing @MichaelAArouet It's all so tiresome. Why does Cuba have such a high life expectancy then? It is comparable to the US and better than Romania and Hungary. They pay a fraction of the cost on health per capita and have similar outcomes to the US (I know the US is an outlier).

The implementation of free market and capitalism in Eastern Europe made them not only wealthier, but also significantly improved life expectancy. The only people in favor of socialism are those who have never experienced socialist misery by themselves. Don’t listen to them.

@plyrni3 @MichaelAArouet sure, but the wealth from it, in terms of pensions, health care, education, is "redistributed" to the population as high taxes are to ensure Norway has a social safety net. Due to a greater emphasis on income equality, Norwegean CEOs don't get billions in bonuses there.

@MichaelAArouet & indeed, after communism it took 20 years before life expectancy in Russia equaled level before communism! Both communism & liberal capitalism fail to protect the average person though, which is why some level of social welfare (call it socialism) works best, at least for health

@MichaelAArouet that's cherry picking & you know it. I analysed trends in the Czechia in my PhD thesis & it indeed increased but they did not turn to liberal capitalism from one day to another. It was a slow process. They are still a lot less capitalist than the US (or Russia!)but do better

@MichaelAArouet and this is a graph from Case&Deaton (PNAS 2015;112:15078-15083) I sometimes show when presenting on the topic: All-cause mortality, ages 45–54 for US White non-Hispanics (USW), US Hispanics (USH) & 6 comparison countries: FRA, GER, UK, CAN, Australia (AUS) and Sweden (SWE).

@MichaelAArouet I've got some socialist-style countries for you that do much better than the "highly capitalist" US in life expectancy. And even "communist" Cuba does better, despite decades of US trade boycot, and China, so please do your homework next time.
