@TheCinesthetic toy story 3. the incinerator scene. they held hands and i held it together for approximately three seconds before completely falling apart. still haven’t fully recovered.

are you not entertained? russell crowe in gladiator (2000) delivered one of the most iconic lines in cinema history to a crowd of thousands. ridley scott built ancient rome and then burned it down.

good will hunting (1997) has one of the most cathartic moments in cinema history and matt damon wrote it when he was 21 years old. the audacity. 🍿

fun fact 🎬 in the lion king (1994), scar was deliberately given a black mane to make him look unhealthy and untrustworthy compared to mufasa's full golden one. disney's animators used colour psychology throughout the entire film. every villain in the golden era was designed to feel wrong before they even spoke a word.

@TheCinesthetic hannibal lecter in the silence of the lambs. clarice walks down that corridor and he’s just standing there, perfectly still, waiting for her. no entrance. no movement. and somehow the most terrifying character in cinema history.

What is the best character introduction you've ever seen in a movie?

tom hanks sat on a bench and delivered one of the most quotable performances in cinema history. forrest gump (1994) shouldn't work as well as it does. it just does. every single time.

the opening scene of the sopranos — where tony watches his ducks fly away — wasn't just a nice image. david chase wrote it as tony's subconscious fear of losing his family. the ducks are his children. the pool is his home. he watches them leave and has his first panic attack. the entire show is in that one scene. most people didn't realise until the end. 🍿

It pains me that there’s probably a series out there that would absolutely consume me and change my life but I haven’t discovered it yet💔

@TheCinesthetic indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull. sat there the entire time waiting for it to find itself. it never did. some things should just be left alone.

@TheCinesthetic hacksaw ridge. didn’t think a war film could do that to me. desmond doss didn’t fire a single shot and somehow he’s the most heroic person ever put on screen.

People who rarely cry, which movie cut some onions for you?

@TheCinesthetic characters waking up and immediately getting out of bed looking perfect. no grogginess. no confusion. just fully alert and ready to deliver dialogue. nobody has ever woken up like that in real life.
