There is no such thing as “just” another year of war. Every life lost, every family forced to flee, leaves a mark. Sudan cannot become a crisis that the world learns to ignore.

This is Lebanon today. One in five people have been forced to flee their homes. High Commissioner @BarhamSalih is visiting the country in solidarity, calling for urgent support.

In just one week, almost 700,000 people have been displaced across Lebanon as the crisis in the county deepens. Lives have been upended on a massive scale.

With 117 million people displaced, we must move beyond managing crises toward real solutions. Shared this at the UN with the Humanitarian Dialogue and in my exchange with G77 on strengthening cooperation and support for major host countries.
