🚨🚨 - Girls union implementing various rule changes starting this fall season. Biggest one here is no. 6. Coaching can be done between points and throughout the match, however, coaches cannot be on the court to do that.

@iowahstennis The lack of forward/progressive/common sense thinking never ends. My guess is this move will now create discussion at conference levels to move to ad scoring for regular season so as to stay consistent with post season scoring. Antiquated

This doesn’t make sense at all. No-AD scoring all season and then make the entire postseason AD scoring. Why? Personally, would’ve liked to see it no-Ad all of high school tennis but with full 3rds in postseason.

@iowahstennis To clarify, I was stating that it should be no ad always and forever. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Hope Kaden is okay and recovering! I’m not sure why this year it was decided to do full 2/3 sets. Understand the notion that this is a state qualifying event, but 4 matches in 1 day (especially singles) is really tough. I think it was AD scoring too? Supers and no AD maybe best?

@iowahstennis @KnoxvilleTennis No regular scoring at all. 8 game pro sets for all doubles except for individual doubles in regionals and individual doubles state. Always a super tie break for when they split sets.

@KnoxvilleTennis That’s where doubles could be 8 game pro. USTA does that for the consolation matches, but I think the whole point is to play matches and promote playing itself. Tough obviously with various circumstances
