And then I wondered why Skirk sees Nicole like that... that maybe she should not disrupt her peace with the scluptures?

@ilvawfulmasters -I think, for Nicole, who was once the one guiding humans and making sure they all recieve the blessings from the sky, these sentences bring up such a bitter taste to her experience. Out of one cage is to be in another cage, that to be human is also to be "protected"
