Hi FOHAs,
Following the final day of voting for Daisuke on the UPICK app, we would like to inform everyone that the 3 million votes we had reserved for the final drop were unfortunately not cast.
This was due to an unexpected blackout in the seller’s area. They attempted to coordinate with other members for assistance; however, those in nearby areas were also affected by the ongoing rotational blackout.
In the spirit of transparency and accountability, especially for those who contributed to this voting coordination, we are providing a full timeline of our communication:
• May 5 – Initial message sent to the seller (Kitty) to ask for availability of jams by May 20. Availability was confirmed on the same day.
• May 6 – Pricing was discussed. We reserved 3M votes amounting to ₱13,000. It was agreed that payment would be made after the votes were cast, and that the votes would be dropped during the final hour.
• May 19 – Follow-up message sent regarding the reservation; seller confirmed.
• May 20, 11:31 AM – Follow-up sent asking for the exact drop time and if it could be done last minute.
• May 20, 12:58 PM – Seller replied that votes would be dropped around 14:00–14:59 KST.
• May 20, 8:00 PM – We were informed that the votes were not cast due to unforeseen circumstances (blackout).
Furthermore, we would like to assure everyone that the funds allocated for this voting collaboration will not go to waste. These will instead be reallocated to the comeback projects, as per the donors' preference.
We sincerely apologize for this unforeseen situation and any disappointment it may have caused.
Rest assured that we are sharing all details openly to remain accountable to everyone who trusted and supported this effort.
