@e_wholl @minionsart Yeah, we almost agree! However, the point was that there are so many different setup variants, that in all our indecision we create versions like the left one - weird and funny - by playing with the material :D

@AlanZucconi @FreyaHolmer It's easy to join the crowd - get some applause. But why? Unity is still one of the best engines in the industry - and I say it as a day to day UE5 developer. Almost everyone was talking and hyping about switching to a different engine - including you. But ~1% really did it.

@FreyaHolmer ...And as soon as the first derivative turned negative, I started getting really anxious about my future. I feel the same happened for quite a lot of people this year. And it is honestly terrifying. 😫

in the end, unity is in a worse place as a viable option for devs. so no, I'm not happy with this result, I just feel betrayed we gained nothing, we're just paying more if our projects are successful, and then we're supposed to trust they spend this money on what matters to us

@AlanZucconi @FreyaHolmer We really feel you. We published our #madewithunity works at the worst possible time - as our decision! And succeed! Because we think it's what every developer should do! Even if Unity wants some money from you, don't lose years, work. Just support the still amazing community!
