@yabberthedabber He's spot on. Your players put their bodies on the line last week & clearly raised their performance levels. Turn out in front of 250 & you revert to type, bending over pathetically. Maybe if the players raised their levels every week, then you'd be more competitive.

Manager complains because little teams are trying to beat a team with a budget 3 and 4 times bigger than theirs. Heaven forbid we send a goalkeeper for a corner in the last minute to get an equaliser.
No mention of their keeper going down ‘injured’ last week.

Declan Rice is decent enough but 20 years ago he wouldn’t have got in Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool’s best sides and would have had a battle at Arsenal.
Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves, Makelele, Ballack, Essien, Lampard, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard all better than him.

I'm not getting into teams because that's where fans simply put their club specs on.
But both pictures clearly illustrate fouls per laws of the game with both players CHOSING, NOT BEING FORCED to hold an opponent clearly, unambiguously and sanctionable in those laws.
EVERY team does it, EVERY PLAYER should have a foul given against them, 100% of the time whether at Wembley or Hackney Marshes.
