🚧 Norbert Road Update 🚧 Work to relocate electrical poles and infrastructure along the Norbert Road Rehabilitation Project is now underway. Following extensive consultations with key stakeholders including the project contractor and the Ministry of Infrastructure, three contracting firms, operating under LUCELEC’s direction, began works on Thursday, March 12. Several new poles have already been installed to support a safe and efficient relocation process. We thank the motoring public for their patience as these works were carefully planned in accordance with our standard operating procedures. Decisions were guided by critical technical information such as updated road profiles, landowner details, and revised civil works designs to ensure the network could be safely repositioned. Good morning. Unfortunately severe weather as we have been experiencing in the North of the island which includes very strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall will sometimes result in service interruptions. And while we have the technology to attempt restoration remotely, sometimes a team has to do so in the field as was the case this morning. The issue was isolated and service has since been restored to the affected customers. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
