Windows *notice that the songselect-top are more transparent while on linux still had a black bar

@osugame I think when you are on linux using wine, the client build seems using the previous build while using Windows are the current one. is it possible to update to a more recent version?

@KisanoWasTaken @l_weeb03 @OblivionArchive properly curated rhythm games with well aligned gameplay mechanics, mapping styles, and story are fucking amazing. i hope the joy of playing games that do this is not lost due to osu! (which hasn't achieved much of an experience like this since some maps from very early days).

I think Community driven rhythm games might have genuinely diminished the merit of commercial rhythm games to the average consumer. They just kind of see them as a tool to play songs they like rather than a work of art like any other genre of video game. It's kind of alarming

@Furball37 keep me posted on things :) i don't check twitter much (got pinged by someone else to see this), so feel free to email me updated if you have the bandwidth. or create an issue thread on the github repo documenting your progress.

@ppy I'm planning to build it into a proper cab once I've got all the software side ready, and since I'm currently only thinking about making one of them I don't think tenchos realtime stuff is gonna be needed for what I'm planning.

Spent 7.5 hours coding for osu!stream. Everything from the card reader, to implementing the server protocol, to adding all the autth popups to osu!stream, and the user display in the menu. But now I can register and login to osu!stream with a e-Amusement card. Totally worth it.

@Furball37 @_draggie two are in perth (v1 and v2), one is in japan (v2)!

@_draggie Yeah, there weren't many though, and none of them had card readers so this is purely my creation, I do wonder where the original machines are now..

@Zyluki_HP looks very weird! what's your operating setup? windows / direct3d?

@ppy not to be an annoyance but lazer performance over the past month and half has kinda entirely tanked went from smooth gaming in January, February, and April to constantly having issues like this for literally no reason

@ppy i have fixes for lazer I see a lot, most aren't bugs buy you could change to make it a lot better. 1. When you change the speed for NC it sounds horrible, the workaround is using DT and adjust pitch 2. to be able to type in values for DA 3. AR for DA mod isnt true with dt

@RoDoddler the funny part is that all the movement/latency jank made the game so much more interesting for me. i'm probably not alone in the group of players that saw it as a challenge rather than an issue 😄

You know while playing my version I keep thinking movement while being hit is still really awkard, and then I look at my old RO videos (well @ppy's in this case) and am reminded of what real movement jank is.
