Malgrat la complexitat inherent a un projecte d'aquesta escala, la conclusió de la trobada és molt positiva: tenim el full de ruta clar i tot el necessari per al bon progrés de la iniciativa i per donar un impuls estratègic a l'adaptació al canvi climàtic als nostres territoris.

Va ser una jornada de debat intens i enriquidor sobre l'estat del projecte i sobre com integrar millor l'adaptació al canvi climàtic en les polítiques públiques i el seu finançament.

🌍 El passat dimarts vam assistir a les reunions del Comitè de Direcció i dels paquets de treball 7 i 8 del projecte Life eCOadapt50 a la seu de la Diputació de Barcelona.

All this will help make our work much more useful for hydrological and agricultural planning in Pyrenean basins such as the Ebro.

The ACATCOR experts gave us very valuable feedback, emphasizing the need to ensure that our climate scenarios of irrigation demand take into account the viability of crops in the future climate.

💧 Last Monday we met with the scientific committee of ACATCOR at the University of Barcelona to present our actions for forecasting future irrigation demand, both climatically and seasonally, within the framework of the Life Pyrenees4Clima project.

Tot plegat ens ajudarà a fer que el nostre treball sigui molt més útil per a la planificació hidrològica i agrícola a conques pirinenques com la de l'Ebre.

Els experts de l'ACATCOR ens van donar un feedback molt valuós, posant l'èmfasi en la necessitat de vigilar que els nostres escenaris climàtics de demanda de reg tinguin en compte la viabilitat dels cultius en el clima futur.

💧 El passat dilluns ens vam reunir amb el comitè científic de l'ACATCOR a la Universitat de Barcelona per presentar les nostres accions de previsió de la demanda de reg futura, tant climàticament com estacionalment, en el marc del projecte Life Pyrenees4Clima.

🛰️ Next week I will participate in the ESA DTE Components 2026 conference. I will present a poster comparing methods for estimating root zone soil moisture and I hope to be able to share many ideas and projects (@obsebre).

🎓 I had the pleasure of participating in the thesis committee of Kaoutar Oukaddour at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech. The thesis is an interesting contribution to knowledge on drought dynamics in an area with very limited resources and great human impact.
