Satyendra Nath Bose helped reshape the foundations of physics, yet he remains one of science’s most under-recognised figures. In 1924, the Indian physicist sent a brief paper to Albert Einstein that would go on to transform quantum mechanics. In it, Bose suggested a radical idea for the time: that identical subatomic particles might be fundamentally indistinguishable. Einstein quickly saw the importance of the concept, translated the work himself, and extended it mathematically to include matter as well as light. This collaboration led to what is now known as Bose-Einstein statistics and established a key category of particles called bosons, which include photons and gluons. Bose’s insight helped lay the groundwork for major advances in modern science and technology, from lasers and superconductors to the eventual discovery of the Higgs boson. Despite this impact, he never received a Nobel Prize. Today, his name lives on in physics, even if wider recognition has lagged behind his contribution. Source: Bose, S. N. (1924). Quenched - "A Thirst for Silence” He arrived like a thought you can’t place. Watched, as if the world might speak first Is there anybody out there - he questioned and waited, but It didn’t. So he moved Took what he needed And left the silence undisturbed. #TickellBlueFlycatcher

@JohnWight1 Al Kwarisimi translated Hindu mathematics from centuries ago to Arabic, formalized the methods, and introduced them to Arabs and Europeans including the Hindu numerals and decimal system which we now use as 0, 1, 2, 3...

From personal experience, there’s a massive gap in the AI market for SMEs right now. I’ve been actively looking to implement AI in several areas of our factory and business and have spoken to multiple providers. The pricing is simply not realistic for small and medium enterprises. One quoted ₹2.5 lakhs per month, another ₹20 lakhs for a single project. That’s just not feasible for most SMEs. I understand it’s still early days and the time for providers to reap margins/recoup costs, but I hope the pricing comes down soon so businesses like ours can actually start leveraging AI meaningfully. All the best to you!

If you do manufacturing/planning to start, let’s work together. Right now, most manufacturers work alone. This leads to slow growth. What if we do this? If you do plastic moulding → Send assembly work our way If you do assembly → Send moulding + motor work to us If you make motors → Partner with us for full products This leads to more: - partners - projects - money for everyone And if you do anything else in manufacturing like CNC, diecasting, rubber, finishing.. Drop your name below 👇🏻 and we’ll send them your way. Let’s connect and grow our ecosystems together. Who’s in?

Another excellent local dairy product recently introduced to supermarkets 👏 Priced lower than the few Greek yoghurt brands that were previously available, this one delivers a solid 18g of protein which really stands out. I have personally stopped consuming most regular yoghurts in the market due to high sugar content, excess gelatin, and the use of milk powder to balance milk solids. That’s why it’s refreshing to finally see real Greek yoghurt options emerging as a healthier alternative for those who genuinely care about health and wellness. Why Greek yoghurt? • Higher protein helps with muscle recovery and satiety • Lower sugar and carbs compared to regular yoghurt • Supports gut health with natural probiotics • Keeps you fuller for longer and great for active and busy lifestyles I have tried this product myself which is creamy, rich, and very satisfying. It’s currently available at Glomark supermarkets, and you can pick it up for around LKR 390 during their Saturday 20% off promotion. Highly recommended 👍

#WATCH | A passenger, Mahrishi Jani, says, "I was scheduled to go to Guwahati on a 6.15 am flight; this was a connecting flight from Kolkata. We were selected for Smart India Hackathon 2025; about 74,000 ideas were submitted there and nearly 1400 ideas were selected. Our centre was North-Eastern Hill University and we were scheduled to perform there. We had booked IndiGo flights. But the flight is delayed and so, we will not be able to go there. There is no other possible way of transportation. If we take a train, it will take us 3 days to reach there. Our hard work of 6-7 months is now wasted. We are returning home. Such opportunities are rare...We were selected in the first attempt but due to flight cancellation, we are unable to go ahead. We were a team of 6 people and we were accompanied by 2 mentors..."

If you've ever used iLovePDF, then you should be grateful to Marco Grossi, the brain behind one of the most successful websites ever created. Interestingly, Grossi got the idea to create the website, which now has over 30,000 visitors every minute, in 2010 when he needed to cut and paste a PDF. He realized that it was a very simple task and he could actually create it himself, and he did. The website has since been free for over 99.9% of users, and it generates 80 to 90% of its revenue from 0.1% of users who pay $4 per month to use premium features. Grossi rarely grants interviews as he prefers being low-key and leading a normal life. He is a graduate of Multimedia and Photography at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain.
