Fresh Trouble for #Dhurandhar2‌ ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Trimurti Films sues #Dhurandhar2‌TheRevenge makers over the unauthorised use of song in The movie.🔴 It has filed a lawsuit against the makers of Dhurandhar 2, B62 Studios, over the unauthorised use of the song Rang De Lal in the film. The lawsuit sought relief restraining further use of the song, along with damages and other consequential reliefs. According to a Bar and Bench report, the dispute emerged from the rights to the song, Tirchi Topiwale, originally co-composed by Anand–Milind, with lyrics by Sameer Anjaan. The song originally featured in the 1989 film Tridev, with vocals by Amit Kumar and Sapna Mukherjee. Trimurti Films alleged that the song, or a version substantially similar to it, has been used in the defendant’s film without acquiring the requisite licences or permissions. According to sources, Trimurti has claimed ownership and control over the relevant rights in the musical work as well as its sound recording. In the lawsuit, the production company claimed that the use of its song amounts to copyright infringement, including unauthorised reproduction and communication of the work to the public.
