I really don’t like how some people are reacting to Lena and Miu’s solo projects, especially Lena’s, since we know it’ll be a romantic drama. Some are just annoyed by the idea (which is crazy, honestly), but others are saying things like, "I don’t care as long as there are no kissing scenes" or "I don’t mind them acting with others, but I’m not watching" or even "Yeah, it’s fine, we know it won't be the same as when they’re together"... and frankly, I think that mindset is just as bad. Lena and Miu are ACTRESSES. They act with whoever they need to act with, just like they act together, because it’s THEIR JOB. It’s not better or worse, it’s simply the same thing. The fact that they have a connection beyond work doesn’t mean anything and shouldn't interfere with their professional careers. It strikes me that people aren't mature enough to understand that. Don’t they know that even actors who are married in real life keep acting, kissing, and doing intense scenes with other actors? It’s what they have to do in the career they chose, and it makes them happy. How do people expect Lena or Miu to stop doing their jobs for a ship? And yes, I simply say "ship" because that’s the only thing confirmed. They are a ship and very good friends. A REALITY CHECK wouldn't hurt anyone, especially when they get into this absurd mindset of wanting to limit them. AND EVEN IF IT WERE TRUE, even if they were girlfriends and got married and all that, they would STILL be actresses who have to do what the job requires with whatever colleagues they are assigned. Wake up. Oh, and another thing... I know we’ve all talked about how Miu used to kiss her previous on-screen partner, but I really hope nobody tries to downplay the new work of either of them when it comes to chemistry or love scenes. Maybe many are 'used' to the idea that once a GL couple is established, they don't do any other projects and everything is just the ship, the ship, the ship... but here we have a pair with far too much talent for their fandom not to WANT them to take on every project that comes their way. It’s not that hard to understand, is it? I wanted to talk about this because my account usually has some reach, and since I’m honestly frustrated, I didn’t want to miss the chance... even if no one reads me this time.
