The average UK salary is £39,039/year (Forbes). After tax, that's £2,635.64/month take home. It takes nearly £40,000 a year just to live an 'average' life in the UK. Not a great life. An average one. But that same take home is achievable on £31,627 - with no Income Tax. Income Tax isn't just taking your money. It's forcing you to need a much higher salary just to cover the basics. Abolishing Income Tax should be the #1 priority for any serious government. Far more people would be able to achieve 'average'. People on average salaries could finally save and invest. Those earning more could actually build wealth. The state needs to shrink. That's how this becomes possible.

I’m gonna solve football. How about the champions of each top division all into a competition just for champions and we call it the European cup. The cup winners from each league go into a competition called the cup winners cup. 2nd 3rd and 4th go into a competition called the uefa cup. In division 2 we have a new play off format where the 24 teams all play each other home and away and the 3 teams with the most points get promoted and the 3 teams with the least points get relegated. I think this may take off #millwall #EFL @secondtierpod

Worked in retail for 30 years. In order, these are the most annoying customers: 1, Refuses to use self service. 2, "You have to accept cash, it's in the magna carta" 3, "you keep moving everything" 4, Dumps products randomly about the shop. 5, Takes the second paper from the top.

@anon_opin People refusing to use self service help keep staff numbers up (less job cuts) - self service tills are to benefit the retailer by reducing staff levels, lots of customers do not use them for that reason

@anon_opin I refuse to use self service. I'm not trained on the system, I don't work there. I'm a customer and I expect to be able to buy my shopping without having to do someone else's job.

Feel free to call me an idiot, but I’m not sure why we haven’t experimented with Smith as one of the “No. 10s” behind Moore (granted,not as a traditional No.10), Smith can track back, has the pace to get in behind if Moore flicks it on etc. and can link up play quite well himself
