I'm starting to hate ISL clubs more than the AIFF. At some point before it's too late, these ISL clubs need to grow some balls and tell the AIFF officials: "Fumbling the ₹50 crore FSDL deal is not our problem. that's on you for being clowns and being utterly incompetent. We had a solid thing going with FSDL, but your sheer ineptitude and inability to act competitively have brought Indian football to this mess. Stop passing the bill for your failures onto us clubs."

I want Shillong Lajong to be the team that gets into the ISL, but can they actually sustain there? They're not backed by rich owners like Punjab FC or Bengaluru FC. Look at MDSC, they've taken heavy losses, and apart from a few domestic players, the rest of the squad struggles to compete at ISL level. Shillong would have to massively increase their spending compared to IFL, only to get relegated, incur huge losses, and end up getting completely blackpilled about Indian football I've said it before, there's no real point in getting promoted to the ISL until ISL's structure improves and becomes sustainable. Right now, the IFL actually looks more stable, and next season will be even better

It's valid ISL clubs are complaining they won't earn much Revenue from the deal But the bigger issue is still the inflated wages of players. What's the guarantee the clubs won't overpay again? If salary cap is enforced, Goenka (Gandu) would be the first to exploit loopholes and most other clubs would quickly follow suit because they have to. It's a chain effect. I said it a thousand times that a strict, well-enforced Salary cap is the need of the hour. If the clubs earn 20 crore revenue individually instead of 1-2 cr, they'll end up paying players 5 times what they're paying now, making the entire ecosystem even more unsustainable again
