The results of this post are interesting. Very often the extra “deployment engine” on to of the core pipeline isn’t required (I understand some deployment engines have value add features).
The diversity in this space is really amazing.

@DevLeaderCa I try and think of at least five reason to and not do it. Then be objective as I can. This was good when moving older dotnet framework projects to core at the time, a big plus was running on Linux and savings gained on hosting costs.

The cost of hosting an azure ms sql database compared to dedicated server for smaller businesses is not predictable.

@dhh I can totally agree with you on that. Last year I built my first desktop pc since 2005ish. Was totally worth it spec/cost compared to a laptop as a daily driver

The satisfaction of putting together your own computer is considerable! Prior to my Framework 13, I don't think I'd done that since the '90s. Didn't even know it was something you could miss!

@Microsoft Windows 11 update KB5043145 has caused many issues for users. I have several machines that have been no longer working since this update. I can not type into the start menu, run any applications. I have tried to uninstalled the update and repair windows 11.
