@yashtradez It’s just verbage, what you’ve said here is a 50k account is actually a 2k account, but don’t change your risk because you’re still trading a 50k account A 50k account costs $150, a 1% stop loss is actually 25% of the $150 because you dont actually have 50k

Don’t think this gets talked about enough, but a 50K funded account is NOT 50K. Yes we all know it’s around 2K drawdown, but for some reason everyone still measures risk off 50K. Risking 1% on a 50K funded is NOT $500. It is $20. Now I’m not saying risk only 20 bucks, but don’t convince yourself that you’re risking only 1% when your stop loss is $500. That’s 1/4th of your account.

Back in 2021, I set up a trading account with $15k in crypto as a birthday gift for one of my exes (positions all set up and everything) A year later we broke up, and she asked if I could cash it out for her because she didn’t understand how it worked I checked the account, still $15k, so I just wired her the money from my bank but didn’t bother touching the positions Fast forward to today… I forgot the account even existed…. logged in and saw $700k sitting there 🤷‍♂️
