It was a privilege to meet Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu garu. His dedication to inclusive development, innovation-led growth and public service was deeply inspiring. Women’s health, youth skilling and strengthening access to quality healthcare were among the many important areas we reflected on during our interaction. His belief that growth must create opportunities for every community resonates deeply in today’s rapidly changing world. Andhra Pradesh has immense potential to emerge as a model for inclusive and sustainable growth, and there is a strong sense of purpose in the way Shri Chandrababu Naidu garu speaks about empowering communities and building long-term impact. Wishing him continued strength and success as he leads the State towards a transformative new chapter.

It was a privilege to meet Hon’ble Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and personally congratulate him on assuming the responsibility of leading Tamil Nadu at such a defining moment in the State’s journey. His clarity of thought, humility and deep commitment towards the people of Tamil Nadu left a lasting impression on me. There is a strong sense of purpose in the way he speaks about the future of the State, balancing aspiration with inclusion, progress with compassion. We had a meaningful conversation on the future of healthcare in Tamil Nadu, the importance of strengthening preventive and specialised care, particularly for women, and the immense opportunity for the State to emerge as a global model for inclusive development. Tamil Nadu has always stood apart for its leadership in healthcare, education and human development. Under young and purpose-driven leadership, the State has the potential to script an extraordinary new chapter of growth and transformation. Wishing Hon’ble Chief Minister Vijay strength, wisdom and success as he embarks on this important journey of public service.

Although travel disruptions prevented me from being in Rome, I was grateful to join the World Bank’s High Level Advisory Jobs Council meeting virtually and listen to an extraordinary group of economists and global leaders. One striking takeaway was how similar the challenges are across countries. Whether in emerging or advanced economies, the questions around jobs, skills, and inclusive growth are remarkably alike. It reminds us that we truly live in a global village where solutions must increasingly be shared. The numbers are sobering. Over the next decade, nearly 1.2 billion young people in developing economies will reach working age, yet only about 420 million jobs are expected to be created. This is not just an economic issue. It is about dignity, opportunity, and stability. Conversations like these reinforce that job creation sits at the intersection of health, education, technology, and policy... the future of work will require collaboration across nations, sectors, and institutions.
