During my c-section, I closed my eyes to pray…
Hubby shouted, “Haa! Don’t go babe!” 😭
Could hear the fear in his voice
I yelled back, “I’m not going anywhere ode, I’m just trying to pray!”
“nothing missing, nothing broken”
Everyone burst out laughing.
I told the doctor, “I said don’t let him in, he’s going to distract us.”
Doctor said, “That’s exactly what I need him to be doing — distracting you and gisting.” 😭

As much as I advise men to be present during the birth of their child, it’s also important to note that not everyone can handle the after-effects of labor. Watching your woman go through that level of pain especially if the baby’s head is as big as mine and seeing the doctor make that little cut for an easier delivery can be mentally heavy. I know a brother who hasn’t impregnated his wife again since witnessing that. It affected his sex life completely. He said, “She’s not going through that again.” She is always laughing at him claiming she wants to go again. By the way, the man even fainted when he first saw the process. So please, if deep down you know you can’t handle the sight of your wife giving birth, stay outside until the doctors are done!

Mrs Bala Blu had an emergency Caesarean section.

Outcome: a live female baby, 3.2kg, good APGAR score.
The husband's reaction:

Why didn't you hire your mother to push out your babies? Why did you even marry? You should have married your mother.
Labour is painful, especially without epidural anaesthesia, which is still not available in many centres.
It is okay for a woman to be tired. Not everyone is cut out to bear pain the same way.
