Alhamdulillah, on Friday night I had the opportunity to attend the “Sunni and Shi’a?” event with Shaykh @YasirQadhi where we engaged in a respectful, productive and friendly dialogue about the differences between the two schools of thought. The atmosphere was amazing and the attendees truly felt the brotherhood between the scholars and their respective traditions. This event, which in some senses, was the first of its kind, was a monumental moment for dialogue and discussion. I pray it leeds to more fruitful discussions in the future. Special thanks to Sh Yasir for how gracious he was throughout the session and thank you to NUUN and @dallas_youth for organizing the event.
