Music creators deserve a plug in or app to test Apple/Spotify/Tidal’s exact algorithms for compression and normalization. I know there are some that emulate but we should be able to see the exact outcome and adjust accordingly. We spend so much time on songs to be surprised later

@geminitoofly film industry got music editor, music supervisor, foley/sfx ppl, composer, music engineer/mixer, sfx engineer/mixer, head of sound, n even more ppl = but V large team, plus they are all under the Editors Guild (which also embodies picture editors, colorists, and a few in missing)

what is the major difference between the film industry and the music industry that they’re so well organized for worker’s rights and we don’t even have unions?

@impreshn like having a bunch of synths or guitar pedals that can route in and out of each other.. to turn into one big instrument/effect, gets really deep but is a fun ass way to make music
