Imagine if local technology companies like $ALU Altium and Afterpay weren’t bought out. Or if Canva listed here in Aus. Or Atlassian. Our stock market would look forward-facing, instead of commodities heavy. The ASX 200 would seem much more balanced and capable of serious long-term growth. Alas, acquisitions of our best companies when they’re mid caps are a regular feature. As are the bigger players going straight to the NASDAQ.
