Ratan U Kelkar, a 2003-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer who is not even the senior-most officer in the state, is being appointed Secretary to Chief Minister V D Satheean while continuing as Kerala’s Chief Electoral Officer, a position that demands institutional neutrality and independence. So where is Rahul Gandhi’s sermon on institutional propriety now? Or does his outrage depend entirely on which party is in power?

The police registered a case against Mukhtar Ansari, but still for decades neither you nor your party could ensure justice for your brother. It was only in 2023, under the political leadership of Modi, that Mukhtar Ansari was finally convicted in that very case. You should be mortified with humiliation over this very fact !! And where was your sense of self respect and integrity when in 2014, for political gain and a handful of votes, you aligned yourself with the very man, Mukhtar Ansari, accused of killing your brother in the lok sabha elections of 2014. Power and vote bank politics became more important than your own family ties. And when Mukhtar Ansari died, you even said that one should not speak harshly about the dead. You lacked the courage to utter two words of justice being ensured even then !!. Before using abusive language against the PM of India, perhaps you should ruminate first on your own despicable character and traits.
