Ayrshire Hospice
Ayrshire Hospice@AyrshireHospice·
On Monday 13th September, the Ayrshire Hospice attended the South Ayrshire Participatory Budgeting event to ask the public to choose our Children and Young Person’s Service to receive funding. With the votes counted we are pleased to learn we were successful in securing the full £3,000 we applied for! Thank you to everyone who lives, works, and volunteers in Ayr South and the Surrounding Villages for casting your votes in favour of the Hospice. The money your support helped us secure will go towards worry dolls for children to hold close, and bereavement books to help them understand and process their feelings around illness, death, and dying. The Children and Young Person’s Service plays an important role in supporting children through what can be a difficult time. Thank you to the community for helping us continue to support young people across Ayrshire and Arran!

That’s a wrap! 🎬 Yesterday the last paper from my PhD at @MCPCRD thesis got published. This paper is about how the hospice multidisciplinary team starts conversations about dying patients’ prognoses. You can read it here: lnkd.in/drJgu_Fy

By support I mean-let them know individually (they prob won’t read the email), tell them you know it’s impt&they can have the time (&someone will cover their work-esp impt for housekeeping/front line clinical), but theirs no obligation-only if it’s right for them, right now
Jamilla Hussain@JamillaHussain1

I've been asked if this is something we could do We have piloted this Echo-it has been +ve so far BUT the key for ppl to attend, esp those in non-desk jobs, is for their managers to recog the impt&need and make time-SO PLS SHARE WITH YOUR STAFF & SUPPORT THEM TO ATTEND TY
