NEW: Chilling footage taken minutes before 15-year-old is fatally shot in NYC park. The incident began as a melee, with several kids on the basketball court fighting and attacking the 15-year-old victim, identified as Jaden Pierre. Only one shot was fired, striking Jaden’s chest. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police are now looking for the shooter, who they say is seen in video running away while wearing a gray sweatsuit. No arrests have been made so far.

The reality where I gotta raise my child… and at the same time hope another child don’t take his life. That’s not okay. That’s a crisis. And where are the politicians now? They loud when it’s convenient. They loud when it trends. They loud when it gets them likes. But when our kids are killing each other? Silence. If you only speak on certain violence… then you’re not about justice. You’re about attention.
