Like so many, I’m deeply saddened by the passing of my friend of 25 years, Lindsey Graham. Lindsey devoted his life to serving our country with conviction, courage, and an unwavering sense of duty. But, importantly, the man behind the public figure was deeply devoted to his family, a kind and generous friend and blessed with a great sense of humor, punctuated by a sharp wit. While his time on earth has been cut short, he will be remembered by history as a consequential and impactful leader with an enormous heart for America. Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for a lifetime of service. May God comfort those who love you and may He grant you eternal peace.

The first meeting I had with Lindsey Graham after the 2024 election was with @StephenM in Palm Beach before President Trump was even sworn into office. He had one question: “How much money do we need to secure the border and how fast do we need it?” Biden had emptied the accounts and slashed enforcement agent head-counts. We answered. He said he would get it done. And he delivered. While plenty of people in our party disagreed with Senator Graham on things, he was indispensable to our party and issues in many ways people will probably never know.

America has lost a Statesman. President Trump and the White House have lost a friend. Rest in Peace, Senator Graham.
