missed every point bc she couldn’t see past her racism to excuse a slur being said, just because a person with Tourette’s said it (intent does not negate impact)

@K8T1144 blocked me while showing her racism against Black people by saying Black elites should be ok with being called a slur because they can go to their mansions and “he didn’t mean it”.. pathetic excuse, both for the situation and human but i can’t expect any less on this app

this tweet being the perfect example of why I say white people especially leftists use black elites to funnel criticism and their disdain towards black people

So let me get this straight… If a person with disabilities calls me the N word I have to be 100% okay with it because of their condition, and if I get mad I’m ableist…?

It’s genuinely so illuminating to watch people have absolutely zero empathy for Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo in real time. Leftists too. Hm.

@K8T1144 “nobody is invalidating you” then proves the point of invalidation😭you have yet to acknowledge the embarrassment that the two men have faced because you’re busy coping for one, while i’ve actually defended ALL THREE because multiple things can be true at once!

@prettyfunnygrl Omfg. Yes he couldn’t control it. Exactly, think about that. Ffs. Nobody is invalidating you. We’re saying he couldn’t fucking help it, if you can’t grasp that that is a legitimate reason to say it, you’re beyond help.

Do you know how demoralising it is to make a film about the lack of acceptance and understanding in society about your disability, to only be treated with a lack of acceptance and understanding when invited to an awards show because of it?
James@ScriptsByJames

I’m telling you right now, as a Black creative in this (honestly, dumb as hell) business, do you know how DEMORALIZING it is to reach THAT level, THAT stage, THAT moment, THAT nod of success and be called a dehumanizing slur in front of your peers? I would NOT have had “grace”👍🏾

@K8T1144 you’re making it so much more convoluted than it actually is. you’re acting as if an apology isn’t literally just COMMON COURTESY. an apology isn’t “i’m seeking forgiveness and i’ll never do it again”, it’s an acknowledgment of any hurt caused (intentional or not). it’s not hard

@prettyfunnygrl An apology implies he’s in the wrong, that he wasn’t harmed, that he should be shamed and stigmatised. He. Couldn’t. Fucking. Help. It.

@K8T1144 so once again intent≠impact.. just because it wasn’t said out of prejudice doesn’t mean that there weren’t prejudicial implications😀he wasn’t yelling the hard r when there were white people on stage so what does that mean ??🥹🥹

@K8T1144 i’m going to leave this here.. you’re invalidating other people’s experiences in defense of someone else who was affected when in fact, each one of those three people has the right to be upset, but MBJ and Delroy have been invalidated in it all because “he couldn’t control it”
bwa ✨@thereturnofBWA

people aren’t very educated about Tourette’s, that’s very true, but a lot of these tweets are also being VERY condescending to black people rightfully being upset at a racial slur outburst. you wanna educate people about prejudices… while being dismissive of another prejudice

@prettyfunnygrl because you're tryiong to make him take responsibilityy for something that is beyond control. you're saying the shame is his to bear and manage. Say a blind person bumps in to you, they're also hurt by the event. Would you demand an apology?

@K8T1144 explain to me how i’m dehumanizing him when im essentially saying that two things can be true at once? people being upset≠dehumanizing him comparing obscenities in front of the queen to a literal slur with historical implications (even if it’s involuntarily) is so disingenuous

@prettyfunnygrl and yr being dehumanising to him right now. the queen didnt rant and rave about a man apologising for his disability, she continued to knight him
