@DeborahToluwase FCT is not a state but the Federal Capital, just try understand the English, it says "25% in 24 states and FCT" it means even after the 24 states, FCT is also mandatory to be counted among the states that required the 25%

A candidate can have 25 percent in 24 states out of which FCT can be among and hence it would be reported that the candidate had 25 percent in 23 states and the FCT or even have 25 percent in 24 states out of which he didn’t get the % in the FCT

This is Misleading. As journalists when we do news reporting about Nigeria that involves states, we normally highlight the FCT separately because it doesn’t have status of a state. So saying a party must have 25 percent in 24 states and the FCT means that…. #thread
