On paper it sounds like Fast & Furious meets 1977 Southern-fried chaos. In reality it’s a concept that already feels tired. Diesel has the physical presence but none of the playful swagger Burt Reynolds brought. Olsen is solid casting on paper, but the role was built on charm and chemistry, not just intensity. Will Smith as Snowman feels like the biggest stretch — the original worked because Jerry Reed felt like a real trucker, not a movie star playing one. The poster looks expensive. The idea feels corporate. They’re trying to turn a pure, dumb, joyful road movie into another high-octane franchise entry, and something essential gets lost in the process. It’s not automatically bad but it already smells like a movie made for algorithms instead of people who actually loved the original. Rating: 4/10 Looks cool. Feels wrong.
