Transition Post #4 - Last, but certainly not least, we must remember as parents that it's our responsibility to give our children the tools to cope with transition and grow from it. We can't do life for our children, but we CAN help them. It all starts with us - loving parents

Transition Post #4 - We are all going through transition. It's important for us to talk to our children honestly about transitions we might be experiencing. When we let our children know we are human, too, we are letting them know they are not the only one struggling.

Transition Series Post #3 - Transitions can be happy and exciting, but that doesn't mean they're easy. Letting our children know it's okay to talk about ALL their feelings, positive and negative, regarding the upcoming transition to high school or college is important.

Transition Series Post #2 - Reflective listening plays an integral part in helping your child through transition. Your child may verbalize anxieties cryptically. Take time to listen. Let them know you're hearing everything they're saying... without opinion or judgement.
