@TheRealForno The next QB didn’t go until 13th, taking Mendoza first overall was bad asset management

I get it, but here’s the flaw in your logic No DTs went in those ten picks because Caleb Banks was off the board. We’ve already heard there were teams in the 20s interested in him
Gannon Save Me??@Dillon_stan28

@Vikings1stSKOL @TheRealForno No other DTs before 29 went… and trades happened at 5 picks between when Banks was picked and when Woods was picked. So it was still a reach and bad asset management to get no other assets when no DTs went for 10 picks

@SeanBormanNFL Do you think drafting him signals more long term issues with Darrisaws knee?

Tiernan is a certified athlete. 📈 • 43 consecutive starts at Northwestern • 35.5” vertical at 6’7” (10th highest all-time for an OL) • 84.3 pass block grade in 2025 (9th-highest nationally) • 9.37 RAS "It’s not an arm length competition on the field. It’s a physicality competition." — Tiernan 😤💪
Ian Cummings@IC_Draft

Caleb Tiernan is an unorthodox OT archetype. 6'8", 323, but 4th percentile length. Not many case studies w/ this dichotomy, but imo he can be a high-quality starter. Explosive, rangy mauler & a true pass pro technician who can influence actions w/ set angles & flashing hands.

Kayden McDonald, #98 NT * destroys blocks at the point of attack * stacks to control 2 gaps, sheds and finishes * physical traits / movement skills to win with penetration — burst, lateral agility, flexibility, power * produced vs top competition as a 20 year old 1st year starter

@MatScouts1 I heard Schubert reached out to the gophers who would love to have him, but Minnesota AD is choosing to let 80% of the big ten lap them in terms of funding/prioritizing wrestling, so Eggum & Co. can’t put close to a competitive offer together because Mark Coyle sucks.

@battl2heaven don't like Emmett Johnson at all, let alone on day 2 haven't watched Zion Young but Ledyard isn't a fan, not sure I understand that pick given the bigger need at DL

Stick-and-pick Vikings mock taking only players they’ve reportedly met with or had in for top 30 visits* *plus Logan Jones as the best available C, a position where there are no reports of contact with any prospect but they pretty much have to draft one

**Transfer Tuesday…** What a hectic late afternoon filled with signing announcements! I had Fugitt heading to Missouri, Crookham to Iowa early after a few ACC passed over the weekend (at least I won't misspell his name again), Dailey, Scott, Schmidt, Vanadia, and one for the smaller schools that I will mention at the end. I've been saying for some time now that Fugitt and Crookham would go to Missouri and Iowa, respectively. Additionally, when Dailey joined in, NC State was one of his top choices. Speaking of top choices, I've also been mentioning Zepeda's potential move to Michigan or Iowa for a while, with Michigan the frontrunner to join his brother. At least I have been close on some predictions! On another note, I hinted last week about rumblings from the Big Ten coaches' meeting about moving the conference tournament to a neutral site. Now that Coach Manning has gone public with this information, I can share more details. The conference has seen tremendous success hosting the Big Ten basketball tournament at a single venue, the United Center in Chicago, for some time, which has accelerated this discussion. I can confirm that the move will happen. However, Purdue is set to be the host next year. The four sites bidding for this tournament are Chicago (which I believe is unlikely since it would mean back-to-back weekends, and that's a long time for the Bulls and Blackhawks to be away), Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. A fifth site in Las Vegas was mentioned, but that option was quickly dismissed. I don’t see Cincinnati as a viable option. Cleveland did a nice job hosting the NCAA tournament, but to me, Indianapolis makes the most sense. The Big Ten has always hosted events there for years. My odds on favorite. I can tell you that Nebraska and Maryland were interested in Dailey, so those are two teams to watch in the portal for the 184 weight class. Now that Iowa has made a significant move, how soon should we expect Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Iowa State to respond with some big counterpunch? I don’t expect Shapiro to sign this week, but I anticipate commitments from Robinson, Zepeda, Knox, Provo, Norman and Endeme. Additionally, we might hear from the next tier of recruits, including Clark, Cook, Ungar, Rivera, and possibly Smith, although there hasn't been much news on his front. Hearing Hunter Garvin might be in the same mode as Shapiro, taking his time. When these signings take place, it will be very interesting to see which group enters the portal next, with just two weeks remaining. What’s going on with Christian Castillo? It has been quite quiet for someone ranked in the top 15 on the big board. I still think Arizona State is in the mix, but it seems to me that he should be more sought after than other 125-pound wrestlers in the portal. The little guys. Wisconsin Parkside's very successful D2 program landed Wisconsin 125lb Wyatt Skebba, who will join his brother with the Rangers under HC Nick Becker.

@previouslyjorge @MatFreak12 @wrestling373 With that said, if that is the case, even more kudos to Coach Eggum and his staff for keeping the Gophers in the top half of the Big Ten each year. I know they are chasing quite a few Big 10 schools for full scholarship allowances.

@wrestling373 @MatFreak12 @BrianSwaw There’s still plenty of fan interest and engagement, we’re still top 10 in dual attendance and have plenty of RTC donors (including myself). This purely falls on the AD choosing to let wrestling fall by the wayside. I expect MN wrestling to be competitive maybe 1-3 more years.

@previouslyjorge @MatFreak12 @BrianSwaw That's terrible to hear. Nebraska always has fun duals with Minnesota. But then again I haven't seen any Minnesota burners here so maybe that's a sign... I really like Eggun. Was super easy to talk to in person a few years ago

@MatFreak12 @wrestling373 @BrianSwaw From what I’m hearing from a few parents I talk to, there is no money. And no money coming. Gophers AD is investing in wrestling at the level of Northwestern and Michigan State. Schools like Indiana and Illinois are putting way more into it, not to mention Nebraska and Michigan +

@Superskolfan It’s not like Washington Jr. is a bad consolation prize either. A good RB is better than reaching for a safety.
