he surveyed 1,478 designers about AI. @designertom's numbers are worth knowing. 71% have added AI to their workflow in the last six months. claude is now the second most used weekly tool among designers, right behind figma. the profession is splitting into three groups. AI coders, dabblers, and holdouts. designers who heavily use AI report 7.4 out of 10 job satisfaction. holdouts report 5.9. that's not a small gap. 59% of designers built their own tool or utility in the last six months. this is moving faster than any previous shift in the industry. a link to Tommy's video on this is in the replies.
