@GhanaCeasar There is generation from VRA. The transmission side on GRIDCo has been affected, hence distribution (ECG) will be limited.

ECG, VRA, GRIDCO, MOE: can you people tell us something at least? I don’t know which operational method or principle dictates that you turn on and off the light more than thrice in an hour. Is there something that must be known?

@my_berko So meaning there aren’t smart grid operations at the transmission substations?

@Walkie1230 You people talk anyhow, in ghana there are 3 institutions that handles our power. VRA is charge of the generation of the power, GRIDCO is in charge of transmission and ECG is in charge of distribution. So ECG have no hand in this if there are limited generation and transmission

They would go to any length to make the government unpopular. The entire ECG needs a thorough overhaul, there are clear signs of sabotage within the system. Some individuals must be held accountable, whether through dismissal or reassignment.

We have lost over 1,000MW of power generation due to a fire outage, which has led to the shutdown of the Akosombo Dam. Engineers are actively working to restore power supply as quickly as possible. Please bear with us as we work through this situation. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
