@princss6 Heck yeah, this is not the 1st time African countries brought tribalism to the UN. Remember when the Congolese anti Lumumbist, Kasavubu, was promoted by a CIA backed PR firm & got seated as a UN delegate.

“The Asante army took control of the coastal town of Accra in 1742 to gain direct access to the Atlantic trade, and in 1744 the Asante kings established formal and enduring diplomatic ties with the Dutch West Indies Company at Elmina, on the central Gold Coast” From this book👇🏾

The audacity of the president of Ghana trying to insert themselves into our reparation claim. I'm glad that they got shut down. Then trying to distort history, as if the "Gold Coast" didn't play a big part selling captives to Europeans. Why leave out that part?

@princss6 That's the tea. The descendants of the perpetrators attempting to portray themselves as the descendants of the victims 407 years later. WTF? #Ghana, we see you.

Ghana was a willing participant in the trans Atlantic slave trade they have no moral authority to speak on it at all unless they are speaking about the check they owe the so called “diaspora” outside of that they have zero authority. #ADOS

The UN General Assembly has adopted a Ghana-led resolution recognising transatlantic slavery as the “gravest crime against humanity,” passing despite opposition from the US, Israel, Argentina, and European countries.

We need to disaggregate slavery from colonialism. Two systems. Two different outcomes. Two different set of perpetrators. Slavery was a coalition between Africans and Europeans and I don't give a damn who had the boats or who built the bigger system. All that matters is who wast party to the transaction IN Africa that sold my ancestors.
Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP@BellRibeiroAddy

The British state has never truly apologised for its role in slavery and colonialism. Yesterday, I presented a petition calling for an unequivocal apology and an All-Party Parliamentary Commission for Truth and Reparatory Justice to address these grave crimes and their legacy.

🔹Check out this thread. 🔹It's an article from the Dallas Americano newspaper, 1958 🔹 Mexican Americans calling for the continuation of Jim Crow laws against Black Americans @navajofelon

#HispanicHeritageMonth In “Virginia where the law has called for forced integration, the town plans to close public schools and open them as private schools for white students. This can also happen in Texas…to white Spanish-speaking students…Vote against the integrationist…”

Nearly every single government organization from the police, ATF, FBI, CPS, IRS, etc.. has Black Americans as their #1 target ICE is perhaps the one organization that doesn't have Black Americans as it's main taget, yet thats who they want Black Americans to be most upset at
