The level of continued bang up across the entire prison estate is unclear. There is a real risk that @hmpps is now addicted to ‘lockdown’ . Easy way in, long way back. You don’t rehabilitate people through a door. Is @DominicRaab bothered?

It’s with a heavy heart that I have to write this today. My dad sadly passed away in his cell at HMP Wayland in the early hours of Weds 6th October. Still to learn more. He would want you all to know that he battled until the end for his freedom & appreciated your support

My longest serving IPP client received his parole decision letter yesterday. 4 years after his current parole review began, 16 years after he was first remanded in custody and 14 years after his minimum term of less than 2 years expired, he is finally being released from prison.
@prisonbag No, right back at you, thank you! I think Prison Break is a remarkable documentary, it really got to me, I think everyone needs to hear it and start changing the conversation around what prison is and should be 🙏
