The arrest of Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib and Youth Congress workers is extremely unfortunate and condemnable. The Constitution guarantees the right to peaceful and principled protest. Arresting the Congress workers when they have violated no law, is clearly anti-democratic and fascist. Shockingly, Uday Bhanu Chib was arrested although he was not even present at the protest site. The appearance of Narendra Modi’s name in Epstein files is highly disturbing. Every major country has taken serious action against people who were involved with Epstein, no matter how high. Indian government is silent, no action, no enquiry. Protesting against injustice is a citizen’s constitutional right.
