Android’s Phone app is getting smarter, Google is preparing support for third-party VoIP call logs, meaning apps like Google Meet could soon appear directly inside your native call history alongside regular calls. That means: • Missed Meet calls in the same call log • Faster call backs without opening separate apps • A more unified calling experience on Android Google is also adding privacy controls, allowing apps to hide specific calls from the system call log if needed. @_harshprakash No, that's not accurate. No confirmed delay from a specific May 14 date, and it's not being held back for the One UI 9 beta.

@procastx Are the rumors correct that samsung postponed the 8.5 stable update for s24 series from may 14 to may 18 because of the one ui 9 beta update

@procastx There's no noticeable difference, but the phone has started to run smoother and overall it looks very good. i'm very happy with this update

@ShijaDenis Fair point 😅 Most Samsung phones definitely deliver their best SOT at 100% charge, especially during heavy usage.

@procastx You should test the battery life with Maximum Battery Protection enabled and see if it still delivers good SOT, because most Samsung phones give the best SOT when charged to 100%.

@WillianWhiteOFC One UI 8.5 is already improving things in the background, give it a few more days of learning your usage and it should get noticeably better. Hang in there, Samsung usually nails these optimizations!

@nishant_kadian_ Hey Nishant, try restarting once, then go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits and put unused apps to sleep. Also wipe cache partition if it persists. Many are seeing this settle after a day or two post-update. Let me know if it improves!

@JCarlosUnltd Got it, thanks! S25 Ultra US Unlocked. Early stable builds can feel off, many are reporting animation hitches that get ironed out in the first couple patches. Keep an eye on updates!

@MercWorlddd first few days after 8.5 were rough, but it's settling in nicely now. Battery is improving with usage. Give it a week!

@procastx battery life was intitally awful on my S25 Ultra but it's starting to improve

@GehlotMitu67884 Yes. One UI 8.5 includes Direct Voicemail — an on-device built-in feature (with AI transcription & summaries).

@procastx Battery life is in terrible condition. After all these beta versions, it's not inconceivable to give such a software full of bugs. I never buy a Samsung again

@procastx In the Tiktok Lite version, the screen flashes (black-and-white) when I press the volume up or down key. YouTube also stutter and freeze when I lift it up or down the mainstream Not to mention the battery problem....
