so did “brick” and “f*gg*t” having a fixed meaning. or “chicksilog” being a name of food until it wasn’t. one of the many attributes of language is its affinity to evolution. in my case, i have experienced it firsthand how the word has been weaponized to mean something else.

Cant believe people are getting mad at this and being purposely dense in the fucking replies despite being given the context of this post. There are certain words such as slurs that we get to reclaim while society simultaneously evolves new ones for malicious implications. It is not what the word definitively means that matters here but how it is being dangerously used for such negative connotations even if it seems to be an isolated case FOR NOW. Its only a matter of time that dumb fucks catch up. Nothing is constant, not even etymology, learn nuance instead.
