@TylerJShock I think had Max not had the option to go to the Mediums, they probably would have pitted him right away. Like you said, after a lap or two, they had missed the window to cover the undercut and hoped other options would pan out.

@prof fair enough. was pretty obvious after the first or second lap that he was getting crushed on the undercut. with his times prior to the first pit, i think they would have had no problem catching him if they pit the next lap. tough one for sure... Max was fast. The upgrades helped

Can anyone explain it to me like im 7 years old why Max's strategy was to stay out on Hards while he was obviously getting undercut...not for 1 lap or 2.. but 6. Growing a ~1.5 gap to now 10 seconds? #f1 #Formula1 #austriagp #austria

@TylerJShock Upgrades helped a ton. Will be very interesting at end of season to see how all the cars progressed. Early Ferrari dominated start. Now more equal among the teams.
