A Tory government will reverse the $200 AISH claw backand make accessibility standards a priority — practical, common-sense rules that improve access to services, communication, and infrastructure. And remove every use of the notwithstanding clause. #ableg #abpoli #toryparty

Higher Taxes, Higher Debt – A Budget Without Discipline. $9.4 billion deficit. 31% spending growth. $55 billion more debt. Higher property taxes. The UCP calls it restraint - Albertans will feel it. Here’s my breakdown of Alberta’s latest budget. #abpoli #ableg #alberta #abtory #albertatory

Spending Up. Bureaucracy Up. Deficits Continue. Spring session begins and Alberta’s budget is coming. Expect a deficit between $8–$12 billion. Oil companies can operate profitably at $60–$70 oil…this government needs $75 just to balance. Spending is up 23%. Government has grown 15%. More Crown corporations. More bureaucracy. Less accountability. Instead of fixing the budget, the UCP is shifting blame onto immigrants. Albertans deserve stability, transparency, and responsible financial management. #abpoli #ableg #alberta #albertatory #abtory

Referendum Questions Should Unite Albertans, Not Divide Them I want to address the government’s attempt to shift attention to immigration as a distraction from its own fiscal decisions and budget pressures. Alberta’s budget challenges in health care, education, and affordability did not begin with immigration, and it is misleading for government to suggest otherwise. These pressures stem from years of rapid spending growth, insufficient long-term planning, and structural decisions made by government - including a 23% increase in spending and a significant expansion of the public sector over the past three years. At the same time, Alberta actively encouraged population growth through initiatives like “Alberta is Calling,” and that growth - from both immigration and interprovincial migration - has strengthened our economy and workforce. Blaming newcomers distracts from the real issue: a government whose spending choices now require roughly $75 oil just to balance the budget. It also risks undermining Alberta’s economic future, as many critical sectors - including health care, construction, retail, agriculture, tourism and skilled trades - rely on newcomers to fill essential roles. Creating uncertainty or hostility toward those who contribute to our workforce may discourage skilled professionals and workers from choosing Alberta, making it harder for businesses to grow and for public services to function effectively. Introducing referendum questions that single out vulnerable groups risks creating division rather than solving problems. Responsible leadership means planning for growth, maintaining fiscal discipline, and ensuring public services keep pace - not vilifying people who chose Alberta in good faith. Albertans deserve leadership focused on restoring a balanced budget, improving productivity, and delivering reliable public services. The solutions lie in better governance, sound financial management, and genuine accountability - not scapegoating or political distraction. #FiscalResponsibility #ableg #abpoli #alberta #albertatory #abtory
