ON THE WAY by Day Magee. On sale now: bit.ly/49DEB9m You are at a bus stop waiting for a bus—in short, you are following the rules. The bus is due, but has yet to arrive—the game itself is not following the rules. It would appear that waiting is the name of the game. Here, the performance artist Day Magee delivers an artist’s sermon to their fellow artists—a preaching to the choir, if you will—on the rules they are expected to follow, the rules they are expected to break, and the rewards and punishment they might be seeking.

𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘴 by Silvia Gribaudi is coming to Project on the 12 & 13 May as part of Dublin Dance Festival 2026. Meet us on the dance floor and book now via the link: bit.ly/3QHHrDU In this international solo piece, Silvia takes to the stage by herself, but she is not alone. Aware of the shared space between performer and audience, and driven by a desire for togetherness, Gribaudi invites the spectators to become an integral part of the work – a suspended, shifting chorus. Inspired by female dance pioneers like Isadora Duncan, Pina Bausch and Anna Pavlova, Gribaudi asks simple, urgent questions: What moves us? What cages us? Who decides what a dancing body should look like? With humour, vulnerability and fierce curiosity, she offers her own 50+ body as the starting point – revealing its limits and discovering joy in its potential. Suspended Chorus tears down modern codes of beauty, celebrates the fragility of our mortal bodies, and revels in the power of the collective. After all, we move best when we move together. 12 & 13 May | Space Upstairs 🎟️ Tickets €24/22 (+€1.50 booking fee) Get 15% off when you purchase tickets to 2 or more Dublin Dance Festival events. Simply add the tickets to your cart, and the discount will be automatically applied.

𝘗𝘶𝘧𝘧, a magnetic solo by Alice Ripoll & Hiltinho Fantástico, makes its Irish premiere at Project Arts Centre as part of Dublin Dance Festival 2026. Channeling the rich inheritance of Afro-Brazilian dance this performance runs on the 15 & 16 May in the Space Upstairs. Book now via the link below. Fantástico calls up movement rooted in Passinho – an urban dance style born in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro – alongside samba and capoeira. Creating illusionary effects, his body appears both familiar and otherworldly, shifting from swagger to softness and mastery to surrender. Guided by choreographer Alice Ripoll, 𝘗𝘶𝘧𝘧 conjures the idea of a light breath – something that disappears as if by magic. It honours heritage and is a powerful reminder of how culture adapts and persists, even when it seems to vanish. The performances will be followed by a post-show talk with Alice Ripoll. 15 & 16 May | Space Upstairs 🎟️ Tickets €€24/22 (+€1.50 booking fee) via the link: bit.ly/4sY6UGH
