@promethium_work @SuperteamDAO -okay so what is promethium and why do people keep saying "first minecoin on solana"... let me try to explain this the way i'd explain it to a friend, because the official descriptions made my head hurt at first. you know how basically every token on solana gets made? some guy deploys a contract, types in "1 billion supply", and boom, done. the token exists because he said so. the "scarcity" is literally just a number he picked. he could've typed 2 billion. nothing stopped him. promethium doesn't work like that. nobody typed a number and called it a day. the coins have to be mined. actual proof of work, like bitcoin back in the day — your machine grinds through computations, and if it wins, you get coins. no premine either, which means the founders didn't quietly mint themselves a fat bag before launch. day one, everyone starts from zero. even them. the mining happens on promethium's own chain though, not on solana. and here's the part that confused me until it clicked: every mined coin is entwined 1:1 with a token on solana. so the solana token isn't some separate thing with its own supply. it can't exist unless the coin behind it was actually mined. think of it like this — the promethium chain is the mine, and solana is where the stuff you dug up actually gets to move around and do things. why bother with two chains? because each one is bad at what the other is good at. bitcoin-style mining gives you scarcity that isn't just a promise, but those chains are slow and you can't really build on them. solana is stupid fast and has a whole ecosystem, but nearly everything on it is scarce only because a contract says "trust me". promethium just... splits the job. work happens in one place, settlement happens in the other. weirdly, nobody had shipped exactly this before. and then there's the part that i think is actually the bigger deal: it's built for ai agents, not just humans. normally crypto assumes there's a person clicking buttons — open the site, connect wallet, confirm, confirm again. an agent can't do that, and it shouldn't have to. with promethium, an agent can mine, stake, and move coins to solana on its own, and it pays for each action through x402 micropayments. not a subscription. it pays for one action, once, exactly when it needs it. like a vending machine instead of a gym membership. so picture a bot that mines coins overnight, stakes some, moves the rest to solana, and pays a fraction of a cent per action to do all of it. no human involved. that's a machine with its own little economy. that's the whole pitch really. coins that exist because of work, not because someone typed a number. a token on solana that inherits that scarcity. and a system where software can participate by itself. if you want to dig deeper: promethium.work

things are taking a strange turn not yet reflected in price. promethium chain is currently being mined at 207.46 PH/s. in household terms: that's enough electricity to fully charge about 1,300 teslas a day. or keep 3,300 homes running for a month, every month. real machines burning real energy to earn coins that can't be printed. that's the real store of value.
